Double Dive – Barunguba (Montague Island)

1. Product Overview

This product provides a non-guided double diving experience at Montague Island, including a site and safety briefing only.

Divers conduct dives independently with other certified divers using the buddy system. Typical dive depths range from 5-15 metres, depending on site conditions and diver certification.

Dive sites are selected based on sea and weather conditions, with the operator providing general guidance but no in-water supervision.

2. Certification & Participation Requirements



  • Only certified divers may participate.




  • Valid proof of certification must be presented prior to the dive.




  • Participants must be confident in open ocean diving and able to conduct dives safely with a buddy.




  • Minimum age requirements apply. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.



3. Health & Medical Conditions



  • Divers must complete and sign a medical declaration prior to participation.




  • Relevant medical conditions (e.g., asthma, heart conditions, epilepsy, recent surgery, pregnancy, respiratory issues) must be disclosed.




  • Divers must not participate under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair judgement or physical ability.




  • The operator reserves the right to refuse participation if a diver is deemed medically unfit.



4. Equipment, Hire & Arrival



  • Dive equipment is not included in the base tour price.




  • Equipment is available for hire at an additional fee, or divers may supply their own gear.




  • Divers are responsible for checking and using equipment correctly.




  • Divers requiring any rental equipment must arrive at least 40 minutes prior to departure for gear fitting and setup.




  • Loss or damage to hired equipment may result in repair or replacement costs.



5. Diver Responsibility

Divers are fully responsible for:



  • Planning their dive profiles




  • Monitoring depth, time, and air supply




  • Maintaining buddy contact




  • Performing safety stops and safe ascents



The operator does not provide dive supervision and is not responsible for dive planning or in-water incidents.

6. Environmental & Wildlife Rules

Montague Island is a protected marine environment.



  • Touching, chasing, feeding, or harassing seals or other marine life is strictly prohibited.




  • Divers must maintain buoyancy and avoid contact with reefs, kelp, or seabed habitats.




  • Non-compliance may result in removal from the activity without refund.



7. Weather & Sea Conditions



  • Diving is subject to suitable weather, sea, and visibility conditions.




  • The operator may cancel, modify, or relocate dive sites if conditions are unsafe.




  • If the operator cancels, participants will be offered a full refund or rescheduled date.



8. Cancellation & Refund Policy (72-Hour Policy)



  • Cancellations 72 hours or more before the dive are eligible for a full refund or reschedule.




  • Cancellations within 72 hours of the dive are non-refundable.




  • No-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable.



9. Risk Acknowledgement

Scuba diving involves inherent risks, including decompression illness, currents, cold water, marine life interaction, and physical exertion.

By booking, divers acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for their safety.

10. Photography & Media



  • Personal cameras may be used at the diver’s own risk; flash photography near wildlife is prohibited.




  • Media captured by the operator may be used for promotional purposes unless the diver requests otherwise in writing.



11. Compliance & Removal








































Failure to follow safety briefings, environmental regulations, or operational instructions may result in removal from the activity without refund.
